Mas Mexico

We had an amazing trip and we were all exhausted by the end. Poor Jake started crying on the plane ride home, "Turn the plane around, go back to Mexico!" and he didn't let up until we were home. Every once in awhile he still asks if we can please go back. I couldn't agree more buddy!

Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to mention that my recent resolution hasn't died, but my computer has. Our laptop that we store all of our pictures on refuses to turn on. So, while I work on getting that fixed I just wanted to wish anyone who happens by here a very Merry Christmas!

Pre-New Years Resolution

OK I just downloaded 350 pics from my camera to the computer (don't worry, I won't try to post all of them) and I am now recommitted to getting my blog caught up. Yes, I am seeing a pattern here too :)

Christmas Card Photos

Here are some pics we took for our Christmas Card. If you didn't get a Christmas Card don't feel bad, we never sent them out. I was all set to do it and then lost momentum when my computer died . I know, excuses excuses...

A Night on the Town!

My family has a tradition every December of going out to eat together and then going to look at Christmas lights. My parents surprised all of us this year when we met up at their house and this baby pulled up...

We all piled in, sipped Sparkling Cider, and enjoyed riding up to Salt Lake in style. We had a delicious dinner and then went to Temple Square to see the lights. It was amazing, definitely a night to remember. Thanks again Mom & Dad, you're the best!!

Thanksgiving in Connecticut

Thanksgiving this year turned into a mini family reunion as we got to spend time in Connecticut at the Hotel Sharp with Sarena & Adam, Todd & Heather, Alyson & Nate and their families. We missed Mom & Dad Woody and Tyson & Diana but really loved getting to spend time with the rest of Kyles family. And thank you thank you thank you again to the Sharp family for being such amazing hosts. We could tell you guys have had a lot of practice! Here are just a few (just 10 or so) of the picture highlights from our trip.

And one of my personal favorites, a picture that is definitely worth a thousand words...

Some of us had to work for our turkey this year. This is a group of us who got to participate in the Manchester Turkey Trot, a 4.78(?!?) mile race. There were over 10,000 people who ran, it was really a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday Jake!

Jake turned 3! We celebrated on his birthday by eating at his favorite restaurant, The Smokehouse. That weekend we had a birthday party for him with his cousins. He was thrilled that Treyton and Jayci could come all the way from Virginia and of course Ryan and Kevin came to help him celebrate. We had a Cars Theme Party complete with a Racetrack Cake, Pin the Bolt on McQueen, and the big finish was a race around the house. We love our Jake!

Halloween

.

This year for Halloween we had two Cow Kids and Mason "Lyon". Jake and Hallie especially loved their costumes and wore them every day for a month before and after the big day.

Hee Haw Farms

Back in October we went up to Hee Haw Farms with Tyson, Diana, Alexis, Logan and Grandpa Woody. Above is a picture of some of the "livestock". Hallie and Jake decided it would be fun to look the part and so came dressed in all their western gear.

All of the kids enjoyed the corn box. I think Mason may have enjoyed it a little too much, if you look closely you'll see his mouth is very full. Every time I emptied it out he popped in another handful. I guess corn is edible...
And this is the whole group on the hay ride. All in all we had a really fun time and we'll definitely be going again next year. After over three hours there we had to drag the kids away kicking and screaming.

We got our grass in!

After a very long summer of raking, raking, and more raking we finally had our sod delivered on the last Saturday in September. Just as the delivery guy got his equipment down to unload the sod the heavens opened and it started to pour rain! We sat and waited for a bit hoping the rain would die down but when it abruptly turned to snow we went inside, closed all the blinds and made hot chocolate. It was obviously not meant to be. We did get around to laying it later that week though and we are still so grateful for everyone that came out and helped! We found it really funny that even after giving him a full yard of grass to play on, Mason still prefers the mud.

Update

Since this blog has basically become my life in pictures, I'm trying to get up-to-date on my pictures so that I can start giving small updates rather than epics. I tried to just give a whirlwind tour of the past couple of months but it quickly became a hurricane. I want to have this made into a photo album one day which makes it really hard leaving anything important out. And isn't it all important?!? It is now 1:30 am and I need to call it a night. Just consider yourself warned that there is a lot more to follow...
