I was trying to find a recent pic of all three kids the other day to put in a frame and realized that I didn't have any. So, Kyle & I set out to try and capture one. We set them up on our neighbors lawn and got off to a rough start...In Jake's defense, he was really sick that day.Finally we decided that by putting them on the couch and turning on a Baby Einstein we could at least get them all sitting together and looking in the same direction. We gave them a couple of days off and some new 4th of July clothes and decided to try again! Once again, it didn't start well.We finally got one! I think they just realized they weren't going to get out of this until I got some smiles. And hey, 2/3 aint bad!

Hallie, Jake, Mason & I LOVED getting to spend a whole week down with Mom & Dad Woody in Texas. We spent a lot of time hangin' with the girls (Diana & Alexis), we got to meet sweet little baby Logan, we spent a couple of days with Shamu at Sea World, we got to help Tyson & Diana move :), and the kids got to spend a lot of much needed time their Grandpa & Grandma Woody. Kyle flew down part way through the week and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time together as a family without the interruption of work, the yard, and everything else that keeps us far too busy. All too soon the week was over and we had to fly back to the real world.

We all loved the shows at Sea World. The kids were completely entertained, Mason included, and it gave us the chance to cool off in the shade.

Here is Mason eating his very first popsicle. Even with as much as it rained while we were there it was still Texas--hot & sticky! Kyle braved the heat (and the birds and the bugs) and went running anyway.

Even though the Rodeo was closed down we still had fun walking to the stables and visiting the horses.

Mom was nice enough to wait at the car with sleeping Jake while we saw the arena & the animals.

Yes, it is as hot as it looks here. But we couldn't go through a whole Texas trip without roasting marshmallows in the backyard and we didn't want the kids to go to bed late. Let's just say we didn't need to worry about melting the chocolate.





We surprised Mom W & Hallie with an early Ariel Birthday Party! Mom very graciously let Hallie blow the candles out on the cake.

The croquet set was a huge hit with the kids. I really liked the technique Alexis had going.

Sadly, our only family picture from the trip was right after we left the water park so we're all looking a bit tired and mangie.

Hallie and Jake just love our new BobCat (borrowed from a friend). Jake loves it when Daddy is home or when Papa comes over so he can go ride his tractor. Both he and Hallie have fallen asleep riding in it!

Logan

We spent the night in Logan last month for my cousin Jen's wedding. For some mysterious reason the kids have a huge aversion to weddings. Especially taking wedding pictures. We're just glad that we managed to get through the day without Kyle getting his mystery wedding disease and ending up sitting in the ER with a morphine drip. Maybe the dislike of weddings is genetic... Run away! Just run away!!

Luckily Hallie is getting a little older now and was a champ that day. She was so excited that she and I were both wearing our 'wedding shoes'. This is her posing in front of the Logan Temple.

Jake did enjoy watching the water fountain with his cousin Ryan. I'm pretty sure this was the happiest we saw him all morning.

Camping

We made it out on our first campout of the summer last week! Kyle & Jake were scheduled to go on a Father/Sons and Hallie, Mason & I were all set to take a trip to Cold Stone and have a sleepover in Hallie's room. Unfortunately the Father/Sons Campout fell through. To keep the kids little hearts from breaking we planned a last minute campout with the whole family. Which quickly turned into a campout with the whole family. The more the merrier right? My parents, Trisha, Jeff, Alisha, Ryan, Kevin, Todd, and Heather all came. It was really fun. We camped by this old cabin up Provo canyon that a tree had fallen on. I wish I had taken a picture, it looked like something out of a horror movie. It was a great spot though, there was a river running right through the campground and a zip line set up that came down the hill and went over the river. After a few trial runs to be sure it was safe we had a lot of fun with it. For me though the highlight of the trip (besides just hanging out with my fam) was roasting marshmallows and having S'Mores--

More Camping Pics

The kids loved the zip line and it ended up getting a lot of use. We didn't mind.





This was Mason's first time camping and he was a regular mountain man. He loved eating rocks, dirt, bugs, sticks and anything else he could get ahold of. The one on the right is he and Kyle on the zip line. It's hard to tell here cause I'm zoomed in too far but they are about ten feet off the ground, that's why Masons holding on so tight :)

Here's all the kids lounging on my parents bed. With an airmattress this big, I don't think its really fair to consider what my parents were doing up there camping.

And the award for cheesiest smile goes to....well, we'll call it a tie. This is Heather and Todd zip lining "Spidey Style"
